The Block guest ensuite build faces challenges as Ricky deals with unpaid invoices and team tensions soar.
Monday night’s episode of The Block saw the contestants moving forward with their guest ensuite builds, with most couples making their first venture upstairs in their renovations.
At the Domain Open For Inspections, Kylie and Brad‘s winning kitchen received widespread praise. However, it was a different story for Maddy and Charlotte, who didn’t garner much positive feedback for their space.
Early in the day, Foreman Dan laid down the law, making it clear that over-ordering plaster had to stop, issuing several stern warnings. Notably, he pointed the finger at Grant for alerting him to the issue, leading to tension on-site. Unsurprisingly, Grant was far from pleased about being thrown under the bus.
Meanwhile, Ricky received a troubling call from Betsy’s Glass, a local supplier still waiting to be paid for a shower screen ordered back in week three by Grant. This put Ricky in a difficult spot, as he was hoping to use the supplier for the current week’s build.
The unpaid invoice made Betsy’s Glass hesitant, causing concern for Ricky, who values punctual payment, particularly within a tight-knit community like Phillip Island. Committed to resolving the issue, Ricky promised to get things back on track.
The pressure on Courtney began to mount after Foreman Dan’s earlier reprimand, with the stress of the competition becoming overwhelming for her.
Away from the construction chaos, Kylie and Brad enjoyed their reward for winning the kitchen challenge, a dinner in the city with Scotty and Allstars Michael and Carlene.
Back at The Block, seasoned real estate agent Aaron Wood from Ray White, who has twice been a winning agent on the show, faced a critical decision: which house to represent on auction day. After weighing his options, he chose to work with Ricky and Haydn, while his auctioneer, Sydney-based Tom Panos, opted to side with Courtney and Grant.
