NRL Finals Week Two 2024 continues with Roosters taking on Sea Eagles. Watch live on Channel 9 or stream free on 9Now. Don’t miss a second!
Rugby league fans can look forward to an exciting weekend as Cronulla Sharks, North Queensland Cowboys, Sydney Roosters, and Manly Sea Eagles go head-to-head in the second week of the 2024 NRL Finals, live and free on the 9Network. The stakes are high, with all four teams vying for a spot in the preliminary finals.
The action kicks off on Friday night at 7.00pm, when the Sharks take on the Cowboys. Cronulla are eager to end a dismal run of eight straight finals losses and will be looking to break the cycle against a Cowboys side known for their attacking flair. Much of the focus will be on Nicho Hynes, with the Sharks playmaker keen to silence critics questioning his ability to deliver in high-pressure moments.
However, for the Sharks to succeed, they’ll need to find a way to neutralise the Cowboys’ dynamic trio of Tom Dearden, Valentine Holmes, and Scott Drinkwater, all capable of turning the game around with their relentless offensive threats.
On Saturday night, attention shifts to the clash between the Roosters and the Sea Eagles, which also kicks off at 7.00pm. After being outclassed by the Panthers in week one, the Roosters return to Allianz Stadium in a must-win situation. Key to their chances will be the return of enforcer Victor Radley, while skipper James Tedesco, playing his 250th NRL game, will look to rally his side in what promises to be a tightly contested match.
The Roosters and Sea Eagles split their two encounters this season, each winning one. With both sides boasting plenty of firepower, the Sea Eagles will rely on the leadership and creativity of Daly Cherry-Evans and the attacking prowess of Tom Trbojevic to give them an edge in what is expected to be a physical and hard-fought game.
For fans unable to attend the matches in person, the 9Network is the only place to catch all the action live. Coverage of the 2024 NRL Finals Series will continue across Channel 9 and 9Now, culminating in exclusive broadcast rights to the NRL Grand Final.
