This evening’s episode of Guy Montgomery’s Guy Mont Spelling Bee will feature a comedic roster including Rhys Nicholson, Concetta Caristo, and Dan Rath, with reigning champion Tom Ballard returning to defend his title.
In this unique twist on the classic spelling bee format, contestants will attempt to spell names provided by audience members, embark on a humorous journey “around the world” with Aaron Chen, and face the challenge of spelling out various dances as they unfold in front of them.
The show, adapted from a successful New Zealand format and following a sell-out run at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, sees host Guy Montgomery and his assistant, Aaron Chen, test four celebrities each week across five inventive and often perplexing spelling challenges.
Guy Montgomery’s Guy Mont Spelling Bee is a joint production between Kevin & Co and ABC, commissioned by the national broadcaster. Executive producers for the series include Cam Bakker, Bronwynn Bakker, Greg Sitch, and Guy Montgomery.
