Paramount Australia’s 2025 Upfronts: Everything We Know So Far

It’s Upfronts season once again, where local networks and streamers unveil their lineup of new and returning content, with Paramount Australia kicking things off first tomorrow, Monday 16th September.

For the second year in a row, Network 10 will hold an intimate upfront event in Sydney in front of a small room of key clients including advertisers and media, closely followed by another event in Melbourne later this week and smaller presentations in the other metropolitan cities.

Australia’s third placed commercial network will be looking to reinforce several things, including the backing of Paramount Co despite the impending sale to Skydance, a strong pipeline of content through their parent company, stability with a string of returning programs and recently expanded Football deal, and any new announcements.

Here’s everything we know so far with what’s returning, what’s not, and what we would like to see more of from the network in the new year.

Confirmed as returning in 2025:

• Australian Survivor Brain vs Brawn 2 (Season 10)
• A second season of Australian Survivor (TV Blackbox understands this to now be a Aus vs World or similar theme)
• The Dog House Australia (Season 5)
• Taskmaster Australia (Season 4)
• I’m a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here! (Season 11) 
• Neighbours (Continuation of Season 42)
• A-League Men’s & Women’s (Until May)
• More Football Action (Socceroos, Matildas, Australia Cup) 
• Australian F1 Grand Prix 2025 (March 14-16)

• House Hunters Australia (As first revealed by TV Blackbox, with possibly Foxtel understood to be involved)

• The Bachelors (Golden Bachelor spin-off is heading to Channel 9)
• The Masked Singer (Rested for 2024, unlikely to return in 2025) 
• The Traitors (Wasn’t commissioned for 2024, understood to be shopped to other networks) 
• Mirror Mirror (Todd Sampson documentary series not commissioned for 2024)
• Location, Location, Location Australia (Wasn’t commissioned for 2024)
• Would I Lie To You? Australia (Wasn’t commissioned for 2024)

What we’re hoping to see in 2025:

• New summer strategy with Bachelors / Gladiators not returning 
• Sunday night 8:00/8:30pm regular show (would justify recently bringing Sunday schedule forward by 30 mins) 
• Strong solution for 7:30pm Friday nights (Ready Steady Cook unlikely to return, Locations did not return, Living Room ‘rested’)
• Premium first-run FTA Australian drama 
• Major 10 play overhaul (last update was in 2019)
