Watch 8 Out of 10 Cats and Never Mind the Buzzcocks in SBS’s new Monday night line-up. Comedy starts 16 September.

SBS is set to revitalise your Monday nights starting from 16 September with an exciting new array of entertainment offerings, blending both comedy and culture. The broadcaster has curated a trio of beloved international shows that promise to inject laughter into the start of the week, airing on SBS and SBS On Demand.

Kicking off the evening at 8:25pm is a fresh season of the much-loved British comedy game show, 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown. Hosted by Jimmy Carr, this show brings together a rotating cast of comedians to tackle numbers and letters in a way that’s anything but conventional, guaranteeing an hour of humour that plays with the format of the classic game show.

At 9:20pm, viewers can tune into the newly revived Never Mind the Buzzcocks, a show that has left an indelible mark on British pop culture. Hosted by Greg Davies—well-known for his roles in Taskmaster and Man Down—the show features team captains Noel Fielding (of The Mighty Boosh and The Great British Bake Off fame) and Daisy May Cooper (from This Country), along with regular guest Jamali Maddix (known for Hate Thy Neighbour). This iconic panel show, famous for its dry wit and sarcastic edge, pits music and comedy celebrities against each other in a series of rounds that test their knowledge and provoke laughter.

Rounding out the evening at 10:05pm is the highly anticipated Have I Got News for You U.S., a fresh adaptation of the enduring BBC comedy panel series. Fast-tracked from the United States, this version offers a sharp, satirical look at current events, presented in a quiz show format. The show is hosted by Roy Wood Jr., with team captains Amber Ruffin and Michael Ian Black. Known for its quick-witted exchanges and a rotating lineup of guests from the entertainment and political spheres, the show promises to deliver a comedic yet insightful perspective on the week’s news, particularly as the U.S. election looms.

SBS Channel Manager Natalie Edgar expressed enthusiasm about the new line-up:

“SBS is excited to bring these three iconic entertainment blockbusters to Australian audiences every Monday evening. We’ve been the free-to-air Aussie home of _8 Out of 10 Cats for many years now and it’s a cross-generational audience favourite.
