Sarah Snook returns to Melbourne to star and produce the new suburban thriller series All Her Fault, based on Andrea Mara’s novel. Filming at Docklands Studios.
Sarah Snook is set to headline and executive produce a new Melbourne-based series, All Her Fault, a suburban thriller adapted from Andrea Mara’s 2021 novel.
The Emmy and Golden Globe winner will take on the lead role of Marissa Irvine, a mother whose life spirals into chaos after she arrives at 14 Arthur Avenue to pick up her son, Milo, from a playdate, only to discover that he’s missing.
The series, produced by Peacock, dives into the harrowing scenario of every parent’s worst fear.
Snook will be joined by a notable cast including Dakota Fanning, Jake Lacy, Abby Elliott, Sophie Lillis, and Michael Peña.
The project is being brought to life by writer and creator Megan Gallagher, who also serves as an executive producer alongside Nigel Marchant, Gareth Neame, and Joanna Strevens of Carnival Films, as well as Jennifer Gabler Rawlings and Christine Sacani. Minkie Spiro, also an executive producer, is set to direct the first episode, among others, while Terry Gould will produce, and Mara will take on an associate producer role.
Expressing her enthusiasm for the project, Snook highlighted the high calibre of the Australian crews involved in the production.
“The industry we have here, across all departments of cast and crew, is world-class,”
“There’s always a can-do attitude, and I’m particularly impressed with the sustainability efforts our team on All Her Fault are making; showing we can lower our environmental impact without compromising quality.”
The series is expected to provide a significant boost to the Victorian screen industry. The production was attracted to Victoria through the Victorian Government’s Victorian Screen Incentive, a move anticipated to generate approximately 2,000 job opportunities for local screen industry workers, including 510 crew roles and five placements for emerging practitioners.
According to VicScreen, the production will also benefit 435 local businesses and inject over $70 million into the state’s economy. Filming will take place at Docklands Studios Melbourne and various locations around the city.
Spiro, who was recently in Melbourne for the inaugural Future Vision summit, praised the city as an “incredibly film-friendly” destination, rich with diverse locations and talented crews.
“It is an absolute honour to be directing All Her Fault starring Sarah Snook, in Melbourne with Carnival Films, and our on-the-ground team at Matchbox, alongside our studio partners at Universal International Studios,”
