Apple TV+ renews “The Completely Made-Up Adventures of Dick Turpin” for a second season.
Apple TV+ has confirmed a second season of the comedy-adventure series “The Completely Made-Up Adventures of Dick Turpin,” starring Noel Fielding of “The Mighty Boosh” and “The Great British Bake Off” fame.
Since its debut, “The Completely Made-Up Adventures of Dick Turpin” has been lauded as “extraordinarily funny,” earning a Certified Fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes. The series showcases a “spectacular” Noel Fielding whose “dry comedic timing crafts an absurdist persona that is both endearing and charismatic,” alongside a cast of “comedy greats.”
Season two is set to continue with more fantastical adventures for Dick Turpin, featuring a stellar line-up of British comedy talent. The complete first season is currently available for streaming globally on Apple TV+.
In “The Completely Made-Up Adventures of Dick Turpin,” the titular character embarks on wildly absurd escapades as he reluctantly leads a band of outlaws. This irreverent retelling, set in the 18th century, portrays Turpin as the most famous yet least likely of highway robbers, whose success hinges on his charm, showmanship, and great hair.
Accompanied by his gang of lovable rogues, Turpin navigates the highs and lows of his newfound celebrity status.
“The Completely Made-Up Adventures of Dick Turpin” is produced by Big Talk Studios, part of ITV Studios, and written by Richard Naylor and Jon Brittain with Noel Fielding. The series is executive produced by Kenton Allen (Big Talk Studios), Noel Fielding, Victoria Grew, and Big Talk Studios.
