Willow, leather, sweat, repeats, sweet victory…summer is already upon us, friends.


Channel 9

Nothing but eyeballs evening into the wee morning for Nine as Australia trounced India in what was a brilliant victory in the ICC ODI Cricket World Cup 2023 Final – India v Australia ((372,000 (301,000 Nine SYD/MEL; 71,000 9Gem BNE/ADL/PER) Pre-Match; 1,073,000 S1; 946,000 Innings break; ,000 S2).

Nine first in both primary (40.2%) and network (47.2%) rankings.

Channel 7

Seven go hard with the season finale of The 1% Club Australia (571,000) which has been a success for them with almost every outing. New Border Security (344,000) rolled into a repeat of Homicide: With Ron Iddles (259,000), then new Air Crash Investigations (109,000), before a repeat of Manhunt: The Raoul Moat Story (60,000) closed out the late night.

Seven first in both primary (15.5%) and network (20.4%) rankings.


ABC

The ABC have a consistent night, starting with Joanna Lumley’s Spice Trail Adventure (412,000) and sliding into Annika (389,000), with a smaller audience for Shetland (273,000). Repeats of We Hunt Together (50,000) and Troppo (DNR) are almost inconsequential. Bluey Fest (133,000 AM; 183,000 PM; 263,000 EV) ran strong across the day on ABC Kids/TV Plus.

ABC third in both primary (10.4%) and network (15.6%) rankings.


Channel 10

The Sunday Project (133,000 6:30pm; 216,000 7pm) does little to help 10’s night, leaving all the heavy lifting to Dessert Masters (342,000) which can only manage fourth in the mix. US dramas FBI (166,000) and a double repeat of NCIS: Hawaii (101,000; 81,000) fill out the rest of the evening.

10 fourth in both primary (7.4%) and network (11.2%) rankings.

SBS

Fortress Britain with Alice Roberts (83,000) led SBS’s night before the focus changed to a former US President with JFK’s Home Movies that Changed the World (81,000) and a repeat of The Assassination of JFK (77,000).

SBS fifth in both primary (3.1%) and network (5.6%) rankings.


KEY DEMOS

16-39: ICC ODI Cricket World Cup 2023 Final – India v Australia – S1 (221,000) beat ICC ODI Cricket World Cup 2023 Final – India v Australia – Innings Break/S2, Seven News Sunday, and Nine News Sunday.

18-49: ICC ODI Cricket World Cup 2023 Final – India v Australia – S1 (356,000) led ICC ODI Cricket World Cup 2023 Final – India v Australia – Innings Break/S2, Seven News Sunday, and The 1% Club Australia.

25-54: ICC ODI Cricket World Cup 2023 Final – India v Australia – S1 (431,000) landed the triple-demo win, followed by ICC ODI Cricket World Cup 2023 Final – India v Australia – Innings Break, Seven News Sunday, ICC ODI Cricket World Cup 2023 Final – India v Australia – S2, and Nine News Sunday.


MULTI-CHANNELS

Bluey Fest – EV (263,000) stood head and shoulders above the multi-channel rest on ABC Kids/TV Plus.

One change to the previous week’s primetime line-up after the Total TV figures were added:

The 1% Club Australia (Seven) lifted 11% to 1,105,000; Dessert Masters (10) lifted 28% to 864,000; and 60 Minutes (Nine) lifted 14% to 800,000.

The BVOD best were Annika (156,000), Dessert Masters (123,000), and Shetland (110,000).
