Hayu is set to serve up a sizzling Aussie summer with the much-anticipated return of ‘Below Deck Down Under’. Season two will be available for streaming exclusively on Hayu from July 18, the same day as it airs in the USA.
The upcoming season promises a full-throttle charter adventure, reuniting Captain Jason Chambers and Chief Stew Aesha Scott amidst the stunning waters of Cairns, Australia. The lively pair will be at the helm of the vintage M/Y Northern Sun, navigating the gateway to the Great Barrier Reef.
Captain Jason will be heading back home to Australia for a publicity tour from July 18-20 to promote the new season. Overjoyed about his upcoming trip, Jason said,
“I am so excited to be coming back home to Australia and to beautiful Sydney thanks to Hayu. The new season of Below Deck Down Under is jam-packed with drama. The crew and I faced even more challenges this time around. It’s definitely going to be a wild, interesting watch.”
The season is set to bring a host of fresh faces, with new crew members including Chef Tzarina Mace-Ralph, Bosun Luke Jones, Deckhands Adam Lukasiewicz and Harry Van Vilet, and Stews Laura Bileskaine and Margot Sisson.
Fans can expect nonstop adventure and breath-taking underwater sight-seeing. However, unruly guests who break Jason’s rules may find their holiday in jeopardy. Seasoned leader Aesha Scott faces some of the biggest obstacles of her career while maintaining the crew’s well-being. Tensions will simmer as Chef Tzarina clashes with Jason over his assistance in the galley.
Despite initial understaffing causing costly errors, the deckhands and stews navigate through turbulent crew dynamics and unprecedented shake-ups. The season will also feature a shocking franchise crossover with a polarising familiar face making an appearance.
Intriguing relationships will unfold with a slew of hook-ups, break-ups, and a rare “love pentagon” causing tension on deck. The show is produced by 51 Minds, with Nadine Rajabi, Mark Cronin, Cristina Lopez, Jill Goslicky, Tania Hamidi, Christian Sarabia, and Zachary Klein as executive producers.
