First details on a new reality TV format coming to Seven in 2024
TV Blackbox can reveal the new renovation show coming to Seven will be called Dream Home.
As previously reported, Endemol Shine Australia (ESA) published a casting call seeking enthusiastic contestants for a new, untitled renovation show featuring a “life changing” cash prize.
A spokesperson for Seven has confirmed the name of the new show is Dream Home and that ESA will be producing the series, which will launch in 2024.
Seven would not be drawn on host, although it’s reasonably safe to assume this will be the vehicle for Dr. Chris Brown, who will join the network on July 1.

A spokesperson confirmed the series is an update of an existing property, telling TV Blackbox:
Dream Home is a successful New Zealand format that ran for 11 seasons
The Dream Home format was developed before Nine’s The Block and aired from 1999 – 2013.
In fact, the producers of Dream Home took the makers of The Block to the Federal Court of Australia claiming copyright violation. They failed in their lawsuit.
The original series of Dream Home was described as:
Two couples are challenged to show the country whether or not they are able to work well together, they turn a dilapidated house into their Dream Home.
Seven says their production will update the format for 2024 audiences, using the most successful elements.
