The Sunday Footy Show will again team up with the My Room Children’s Cancer Charity tonight to raise critical funds for kids fighting cancer.
Tony Jones, Nathan Brown, Matthew Lloyd, Damian Barrett and Kane Cornes will look back on a fascinating year of footy and preview the 2022 Grand Final.
Lauren Phillips and Clint Stanaway will join the Telethon spectacular as they share extraordinary stories of brave kids and their families from Monash Children’s Hospital and pay tribute to the amazing volunteers behind My Room, who are dedicated to raising money to achieve a 100 per cent cure rate for all childhood cancers.
In a heroic marathon effort, Kane Cornes will run live into the studio on the night after finishing his blistering 725-kilometre run from Adelaide to Melbourne. Greeted by his family and the panel, we will hear firsthand how Cornes endured difficult weather conditions, injuries and an ongoing mental battle to complete the extraordinary journey.
The Telethon will be another night full of The Sunday Footy Show’s trademark laughter and banter as the boys recap the AFL season and present Grand Final editions of all your favourite segments, including What Caught My Eye. Plus, viewers will be astonished by some of the biggest stunts ever as the Footy Show panel plumb new depths to raise every possible dollar for My Room.
This year, Porter Davis and Satterley have kindly donated another house and land package to go under the hammer in the “2022 Home for a Cure” auction for My Room.
Channel 9’s support for the My Room Telethon will begin just hours before with aMillionaire Hot Seat special at 5.00pm on Thursday night where stars Nathan Brown, Tony Jones, Alica Loxley, Anthony “Lehmo” Lehmann, Andrew McGrath and Lucy McEvoy will try to win big money and bragging rights for the charity.
