ADAM – SMALL JOBS AND MAINTENANCE

It’s easy to put off small jobs and maintenance issues when they don’t seem to affect you much. But left unchecked they can lead to much bigger problems. In your bathroom for instance, water leaking from a shower screen and lack of proper silicone sealing at the back of a basin can lead to mould and much worse. Tonight, Adam shows you the easy things you can do to fix these problems, along with a rejigging a temporary and precariously built shelf in the kitchen to rest the microwave on.

KAREN – SIMPLE FRIED BUTTERMILK CHICKEN

If you love a good burger, it’s hard to go past fried chicken. One of the best parts of fried chicken is the crust, but there’s no secret to these herbs and spices and Karen will show you how to get this important element right. Serve in a bun with coleslaw and your favourite veggies, and you’ve got the tastiest most succulent chicken burger you’ve ever had!

FAST ED – STRAWBERRY FARM WALKAROUND

With the cold, rainy weather set in, getting away to soak up sun seems like a good idea, and what better place to do that than on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland. There’s no time for Fast Ed to relax though, he’s chasing the best strawberries in Australia. At a local farm he talks to Di, a third-generation strawberry farmer who talks Ed through the business and even has some tips for you to grow your own strawberries.

FAST ED – STRAWBERRY, DATE AND MIXED NUT TART

When Fast Ed has ingredients as fresh and delicious as strawberries from the Sunshine Coast, he finds it hard not to just eat them raw. But we’re not here to watch Ed eat fruit; he’s making a simple tart with a variety of nuts and dates. While it’s easy to make, you’ll need to make sure you have some sharp knives for all the chopping involved, but you’ll soon have a celebration of southeast Queensland strawberries!

FAST ED – EASIEST STRAWBERRY MOUSSE

Fast Ed’s adhering to the old saying “work smart, not hard” with the easiest Strawberry Mousse ever. With only three ingredients and couple of steps, the biggest problem you’ll face with this recipe is deciding how much whipped cream to use!

GRAHAM – ORCHID PROFILE & CARE

Gardeners love Orchids and it’s easy to see why. Tonight, Graham visits The Orchid Place, a family run business in Heathcote, a short drive south of Sydney. Graham will take a look at the ever-popular Cymbidium Orchid along with some of the less common and more unusual types of this beautiful flower. Plus, Graham has tips to keep your orchids in tip top health and get the most out of your beautiful flowering display.

CHARLIE – AQUASCAPING

While Aquascaping has been around a very long time, it’s during the last couple of years that the art of underwater gardening has really taken off. By working in a small space, namely a fish tank, it’s a great way to add greenery to your life without needing a backyard, or even a courtyard. Tonight, Charlie does a deep dive to take you through the dos and don’ts of this aquatic hobby. Take your time to choose the right plants and design of your aquascape and let the soothing nature of this hobby calm your senses.

JULIET – THINGS YOU CAN MAKE FOR YOUR DAD

Why buy a gift for Father’s Day when you can make one? Or two for that matter. There are many ways to make a picture frame and the two Juliet makes tonight both use off the shelf products from the hardware store. Landscape pebbles make a surprisingly good base for a wire photo holder while a timber cube allows you to display six photos at a time. Homemade gifts come from the heart, so this year give Dad a gift that he will really cherish.

DR HARRY – BIG TIMID BULL ARAB X

Taking on a rescue pet and providing them a second chance to have a happy life is a noble and rewarding thing to do. Liam and Kayla have done just that but Cole, a Staffy/Great Dane/Bull Arab cross has anxiety issues around people. While it’s impossible to know what caused his anxieties, Dr Harry certainly can help reduce them. A few simple tips and tricks and Cole can begin to accept all the love he’s being given.
