With sport underperforming for both Seven and Nine, Thursdays are fast becoming a wasteland.
A Current Affair (584,000) again Nine’s best by far on a Thursday, then we split based on the footy: Thursday Night NRL Live (361,000 Nine BNE/SYD/MEL); Thursday Night Knock-Off (124,000 Nine BNE/SYD/MEL); repeats of RBT (122,000 (73,000 Nine ADL/PER; 49,000 9Gem BNE/SYD/MEL)); and Paramedics (133,000 (70,000 Nine ADL/PER; 63,000 9Gem BNE/SYD/MEL)); a new ep of New Amsterdam (33,000 Nine ADL/PER); and then all back again with The Equalizer (61,000).
Nine first in both primary (20.2%) and network (28.6%) rankings.
Seven lead the night with the diminishing returns of Home & Away (419,000 7pm; 375,000 7:30pm-8:30pm Late), and then a night of repeats with Crime Investigation Australia (210,000) and Police Strike Force (123,000). The Front Bar (340,000 (222,000 MEL)) is split in the schedule based on the state in which it airs.
Seven second in both primary (20.1%) and network (27.7%) rankings.
The Project (232,000 6:30pm; 315,000 7pm) continues to underwhelm for 10. The Dog House Australia (438,000) slides into first in primetime (as much a reflection of the competition as it was the content). Law & Order: SVU (249,000) leads a lacklustre later evening with only repeats following in The Cheap Seats (120,000) and Law & Order: SVU (70,000).
10 third in both primary (11.7%) and network (17.9%) rankings.
7:30 (413,000) and Foreign Correspondent (314,000) do admirably though don’t crack the top three. Q+A (230,000) bounces up a little on past indignities though still not great. The rest of the evening filled out with Courtney Act’s One Plus One (97,000), 8 Nights Out West (33,000), and a repeat of The Science of Relationships (33,000).
ABC fourth in both primary (10.6%) and network (16.9%) rankings.
World’s Most Scenic River Journeys (155,000) leads SBS’s night, followed by repeats of Scotland’s Sacred Islands with Ben Fogle (133,000) and The Queen At War (124,000).
SBS fifth in both primary (5.4%) and network (8.9%) rankings.
