This August on Stan, continuing episodes for series’ such as The Resort, City On A Hill and new seasons of shows such as Power Book, House of Ho and Code 404 are at the forefront of Stan’s programming highlights.

City On A Hill
30 July

Starring Emmy Nominee Kevin Bacon and SAG Award Winner Aldis Hodge, City On A Hill returns for another season, bringing us to Boston’s high society Beacon Hill. Having left the FBI and thrown his badge into Boston Harbor, Jackie Rohr (Bacon) lands a lavish new gig running security for a wealthy family. Life is good until secrets begin to unravel. When an investigation opens, ADA Decourcy Ward (Hodge) sees an opportunity to finally rip out the machinery perpetuating a broken criminal justice system. Joining the cast this season as guest stars are Emmy nominee Corbin Bernsen, Joanne Kelly and Ernie Hudson.

Power Book III: Raising Kanan
August 14

Set in the early 1990’s, the next chapter in the Power Universe tells the origin story of fan favourite character Kanan Stark and his entry into the criminal world through his mother, who ruthlessly runs the family’s drug empire. It stars MeKai Curtis in the titular role of Kanan and Tony® Awards winner Patina Miller (Madam Secretary, The Hunger Games Franchise) as his mother, Raquel “Raq” Thomas. As we enter season two, Raquel ‘Raq’ Thomas has gained control over the city’s drug trade, but her son is slipping away. Kanan Stark returns to Queens uncertain of his future with the family business, and because of Detective Howard’s lingering secret, he’s even more uncertain of his past.

Inspired by the film Crazy Rich AsiansHouse of Ho is an unscripted series featuring the wealthy, Houston-based, multigenerational American-Vietnamese Ho family. Season two introduces new cast members including single roommates Bella Ho and Kim Ho (Washington and Judy’s cousins), and independent-minded Vanessa Kon and Tammy Nguyễn (Nate’s sisters), and their respective partners Carlton and Tran, who each have unique perspectives on what it means to be part of the Ho family and its legacy.

Code 404
August 4

Season three of Code 404 will once again revolve around the misadventures of artificially enhanced super-cop John Major (Mays) and his long-suffering partner Roy Carver (Graham) as they face possibly their biggest case yet.This time around, one of their own SIU colleagues has been murdered, and Major and Carver are determined to get to the bottom of the case but soon realise that it’s bigger than they thought.

Michael Che shares his unique perspective on controversial topics with the help of fellow Saturday Night Live stars, sketches, and vignettes to illustrate what it feels like to experience various every-day situations including racial profiling, unemployment, falling in love and more.

From Palm Springs writer Andy Siara and Mr. Robot creator Sam Esmail comes a genre-bending comedic thriller that combines an unsolved crime investigation with a multi-generational, coming-of-age love story. Starring William Jackson Harper (The Good Place), Cristin Milioti (Palm Springs) and Nick Offerman (Parks & Recreation, Pam & Tommy), The Resort follows a married couple celebrating their tenth wedding anniversary on a tropical vacation in the Mayan Riviera when they unexpectedly find themselves pulled into a strange unsolved mystery that occurred fifteen years earlier.

RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under

Following a smash hit first season, season two of the Stan Original Series RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under will make its bold and extravagant return, with host Queen RuPaul, iconic Drag Race veteran judge Michelle Visage and renowned Australian comedian Rhys Nicholson returning to the judging panel. This season will see a new slew of outrageously fierce and fabulous queens from Australia and New Zealand all vying to snatch the crown for the next Down Under Drag Race Superstar. 

Secret Celebrity RuPaul’s Drag Race
August 13
Brand New Season / New Episode Saturdays
Same Day as U.S.

Filmed in front of a live studio audience, nine celebrities from all walks of life leave their famous identities behind as they fully embrace the miracle of drag. It will be kept secret who each contestant is until they are asked to sashay away, allowing viewers to focus on their charisma, uniqueness, nerve, and talent.

Each week, the celebrities will undergo complete drag transformations and compete in the ultimate lip sync showdown based on a new category until one of them is crowned “America’s Next Celeb Drag Superstar” and awarded $100,000 for their favourite charity. RuPaul returns as host alongside resident judges Michelle Visage, Carson Kressley, and Ross Mathews.
