Foxtel highlights for the month of August include the 16th season of Gogglebox Australia, true crime series Killer USA with Brian Ross, a new season of Reservation Dogs, and the second season of Industry.

With so much content to embrace on Foxtel, August is certainly the month of streaming to cap off the winter season.

The Headliner

House of the Dragon

Set 200 years before the events of Game of Thrones, this highly anticipated prequel, based on the book Fire & Blood by George RR Martin, covers a turbulent time in the history of House Targaryen and features a stellar ensemble cast that includes Matt Smith, Olivia Cooke, Rhys Ifans, Emma D’Arcy, Graham McTavish and Australian actors Milly Alcock (Upright) as young Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen and Ryan Corr (The Water Diviner) as Ser Harwin ‘Breakbones’ Strong. Audiences can also watch all the spectacular action in 4K Ultra HD when it hits FOXTEL express this month!

Killer USA with Brian Ross 

Respected American investigative journalist Brian Ross hosts and curates this must-see new docuseries, which takes audiences on a chilling deep-dive into the thoughts and actions of 10 very different killers to find out what makes them tick, utilising forensic analysis, gripping archival footage, interrogation recordings and insider accounts.

Diana

Told in the present tense, new documentary Diana draws on previously unheard testimony and rare archival footage to examine the life and legacy of the ‘People’s Princess’.

Featuring never-before-heard interviews with those closest to Diana, former detective and award-winning investigative journalist Mark Williams-Thomas sets out to uncover the truth in this explosive exposé.

The Thief, His Wife and the Canoe

So bizarre you couldn’t possibly make it up, this four-part British drama tells the true story of former teacher and prison guard John Darwin (Eddie Marsan), who faked his death in 2002 with the help of his wife, Anne (Monica Dolan), to claim life insurance and avoid bankruptcy, even deceiving his own sons.

Sherwood

Inspired by real events, this series is set in a small Nottinghamshire mining town, where two shocking killings shatter an already-fractured community, arousing suspicion between families and reopening old wounds. Industry (season 2)

In a post-COVID world and with a new US management team amping up the trading floor, they quickly learn that it’s shape up or ship out!

Reservation Dogs (season 2)

Taika Waititi’s comedy about four Native-American teens (Devery Jacobs, D’Pharaoh Woon-A-Tai, Paulina Alexis and Lane Factor) scheming their way around rural Oklahoma in order to save up enough cash to leave for a better life in California returns with a bang. But after their wild antics culminated with the group disbanding at the end of season one, expect some big changes for the gang when we pick back up.
