Next week, Channel 7 will premiere new UK Cold War spy thriller drama, Harry Palmer: The Ipcress File.

Harry Palmer, a resourceful British corporal, amasses a fortune by smuggling stolen items to eastern countries until the handcuffs are finally put on him.

When they got back to London, they gave the unconventional spymaster Dalby an order to find a missing nuclear physicist.

His calm and ambitious agent Jean makes a sharp observation that leads to the identification of a connection to an inmate named Palmer, who is promptly recruited to retrieve the boffin.

Lucy Boynton and Tom Hollander will also feature in the new series.

Harry Palmer: The Ipcress File premieres Tuesday, August 9th at 9:10pm, on Channel 7 and 7plus with a double episode.
