Eight days remained and four fugitive teams remained on the run at the beginning of Sunday night’s episode of Hunted Australia.

Hunted HQ stepped up its efforts. They wanted a clean sweep, and they got it with three fugitives apprehended: Nick, Puneet, and Kris.

Ground Hunters arrived at the Harcourt North residence where they believed Puneet and Kris were residing after intercepting a phone call. Puneet and Kris escaped just in time because they thought their whereabouts had been leaked.

They planned to retreat to the security of Melbourne’s Indian community, and Puneet contacted a buddy who goes under the name Puneet to help them with their next step.

After spending most of their time off the grid, Nick and Lavinia were now in the sights of the Hunters, who had been following them to their buddy Paddy’s property. Nick and Lavinia felt at ease so they went to a nearby winery.

However, their peaceful scene was broken when a call from Paddy informed them that the Hunters were at the farm, forcing them to flee with nothing more than a rented Ute and the clothing on their backs. They were driving towards Warragul without being aware that HQ was tracking their car.

With only five days left, HQ decided to follow up on old leads and shifted their attention back to Puneet and Kris. Puneet D.’s phone was fully intercepted by HQ, who then followed him to an Oakleigh home. Team Bravo broke into the apartment in a blaze of action, seizing Puneet and Kris.

Nick and Lavinia needed to keep going because there were only three days left of the run. They put on disguises and went to the Warragul train station. The Hunters attempted to exit the bus after Lavinia noticed them from the coach.

Lavinia stayed on the bus as Nick got off, unhappy that she had obviously abandoned Nick to the wolves, and watched as the Hunters sped off after her fiancé.

Nick was apprehended after a protracted foot chase, and his time on the run was done. He defended Lavinia all the way through, telling the Hunters they had broken off earlier that day to see the two runners go out separately.

When Hunted resumes on Monday night, five fugitives will still be at large.

Hunted. Continues at 7.30 p.m. on Monday, August 1 at 7:30pm on Channel 10 and 10play.
