JOHANNA + PETE – MYSTERY BAY HOUSE

Johanna and Pete travel to the far south coast of New South Wales to visit a magical home that celebrates its stunning location. Located in Mystery Bay and surrounded by rolling hills and stunning countryside, this home was not only built to take in its environment, it was built using local materials which perfectly suit the location, too. Designed by a father and son team, this home is just as magnificent as the landscape that surrounds it.

ADAM – LAUNDRY FIX-UPS & STORAGE

Laundries are possibly the one room in the house in which form always follows function. But for it to function properly it still needs good design, so the space works efficiently and effectively. Adam’s found a laundry that isn’t doing the most with what it has, so he’ll add some shelves to utilise plenty of wasted space, prevent leaks with silicone and then restore the benchtop to it’s original bamboo finish, because this room can still use a bit of form.

FAST ED – PASSIONFRUIT POSSET

Taking a trip up the Queensland coast is a must-do for every Australian and Fast Ed’s no exception. He’s made the trip to discover all the amazing things Bundaberg has to offer. The Barrier Reef, the Whitsundays… but when was the last time you came to Bundaberg? It’s one of Australia’s great food bowls with all sorts of fruit and vegetables. Taking advantage of this, Ed makes a simple four ingredient dessert, that actually dates back to the middle ages and highlights some of the most delicious passionfruit and strawberries you’ll ever eat.

FAST ED – MOROCCAN EGGPLANT & TOMATO SALAD

Whilst in Bundaberg, Ed just had to use of their fresh vegetables to cook with, so while salads aren’t typically considered a winter food, this salad from north Africa is warm, so still perfect for those colder months. With Fresh spicy flavours, rich and charred vegetables and the perfect light and zesty bread to finish, this may not look like a salad you’re used to, but it will hit the spot. Just don’t be like Ed and forget to buy some garlic!

CHARLIE – USE THAT SIDE SPACE

With more and more people working from home, creating a space outside your window where you work can be tricky, especially if that space only has hard surfaces such as a small deck, paved patio or balcony. In this story Charlie will show you how to transform your small space into a little green potted oasis, featuring a small fold-down table that’s ideal for a coffee break or even working on those nice sunny days. The array of potted plants transforms this once utilitarian area into a soft, calming environment that invites you to meander through the space with sense of calm and intrigue.

MELISSA – FOLIAGE FOUNTAIN

Water features in the garden sound expensive and difficult but Melissa will show you a DIY fountain that’s as simple as 1,2,3. Seriously, this project uses just three pots or containers. The fountain will be positioned in a garden bed with only shady or dappled light, so Melissa will explore some shade-tolerant plant foliage options with a range of colours to brighten up the area.

DANIELLA – PRACTICAL, PRETTY & PEACEFUL BEDROOM

Daniella is helping a young couple by transforming their bedroom into a place of peace and calm. The current layout isn’t practical and transforming the space with a different design will open up the room and allow more space for storage. New furniture will give the room a facelift and create a romantic, contemporary look. The bedroom will become a classic master bedroom with a look of longevity, perfect for a young family.

JAMES – WINTER HOME SAFETY

Winter is well and truly coming and there’s no better way to unwind than in a cosy home with a steaming hot meal. But keeping ourselves warm can come with added risks. Housefires and other hazards often make warming your home in winter an anxiety inducing task. Thankfully, technology has come a long way to become safer and smarter, meaning you can enjoy those winter days without the added stress. With that in mind, James will show you how smart technology can keep you warm and safe.

DR HARRY – BASSET BUDDIES

This week, Dr Harry is checking out a club that has just one rule of membership: you need to own a basset hound to join or be one yourself! In the picturesque seaside town of Williamstown, near Melbourne, this very furry club meets up monthly for a walk and a catch-up…and they even wear cute basset outfits! Dr Harry is joining in on the fun to find out what’s so special about basset hounds and what issues trouble the lovable breed.
