The award-winning comedy series Hacks has been renewed for a third season.
Starring Emmy and Golden Globe award-winner Jean Smart alongside Hannah Einbinder, seasons one and two are now streaming, only on Stan.
Nominated for thirteen Emmy Awards, Hacks explores the dark mentorship between Deborah Vance (Jean Smart), a legendary Las Vegas comedian, and a young, entitled writer named Ava (Hannah Einbinder).
The eight-episode second season followed Deborah and Ava as they travelled across the country workshopping Deborah’s new stand-up act.
The cast also includes Christopher McDonald (Happy Gilmore), Kaitlin Olson (It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia), Paul W. Downs (Broad City), Poppy Liu (Better Call Saul), Rose Abdoo (Gilmore Girls), Mark Indelicato (Ugly Betty), Meg Stalter (Tooning Out the News), Angela E. Gibbs (This Is Us), Luenell (Power Book II: Ghost), Johnny Sibilly (Queer as Folk), Joe Mande (The Good Place), Ally Maki (Marvel’s Cloak and Dagger) and Lorenza Izzo (Once Upon A Time in Hollywood).
Season two introduced new recurring guest stars Laurie Metcalf (Lady Bird), Martha Kelly (Euphoria), Ming-Na Wen (The Book of Boba Fett) and Susie Essman (Curb Your Enthusiasm), and guest stars Margaret Cho (The Flight Attendant) and Devon Sawa (Chucky).
Hacks is created and showrun by Emmy winners Paul W. Downs, Lucia Aniello and Jen Statsky. It is executive produced by Downs and Aniello via their Paulilu banner, Statsky via First Thought Productions, as well as Emmy winners Michael Schur via Fremulon, David Miner for 3 Arts Entertainment and Morgan Sackett. The studio is Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group.
