The accomplished presenter and actor has found his next calling.
The Herald Sun is reporting that actor and presenter Darren McMullen is set to host Channel 10’s new dating series, The Real Love Boat.
TV Blackbox previously reported that the series was casting before it was announced in March of this year.
With singles looking for love by embarking on a a trip of a lifetime, the reality dating competition in inspired by the hit 1970s series, The Love Boat.
McMullen taking the reigns of host sees him step into familiar territory, having previously presented both Minute To Win It on Seven and The Voice on Nine.
When not hosting, McMullen has starred in some of Australia’s homegrown shows and films, such as House Husbands, SeaChange, Doctor Doctor and the Stan original movie, Christmas on the Farm.
He is currently a contestant on Nine’s reality program, Celebrity Apprentice, having previously competed in the inaugural season of Channel 10’s The Masked Singer.
Just when an official announcement on McMullen’s casting or an airdate for the new dating series will be made is yet to be known.
The Real Love Boat was expected to be filmed throughout the month of June, according to the online application process conducted earlier this year.
