Sydney radio presenter Jackie O is the latest judge to exit the wacky music talent show The Masked Singer.
Jackie O becomes the third judge to exit The Masked Singer after comedian Urzila Carlson and performer Danni Minogue both confirmed their decisions to exit the show last month.
A presenter for the ARN radio network, Jackie O used her Instagram account to indicate it was her decision to exit the reality singing contest.
“It’s been an incredibly tough decision but I’ve decided to step away this year.
Filming always coincides with school holidays and after 3 years of missing out I’ve decided to spend my mid-year radio break holidaying with my daughter whilst she’s still happy to hang out with her mum.
I look forward to watching the show from the couch.”
With the exit of Jackie O now confirmed, the Herald-Sun is reporting she is set to be replaced by another radio presenter and rising star, Abbie Chatfield.
Chatfield is currently presenting the national evening program and podcasts for the SCA radio network.
SCA and ARN are currently competing in a fierce war to dominate the regional radio landscape with both companies now networking content across numerous stations across the country.
With SCA also serving as the regional TV affiliate partner for Channel 10 across the east coast of Australia, TV Blackbox understands the regional broadcaster was eager to secure increased promotion for Chatfield at the expense of Jackie O.
Channel 10 is expected to confirm the new judging panel for The Masked Singer soon. Popular comedian and SCA breakfast radio presenter Dave Hughes is expected to remain with the format.
Was reported in May that she was replacing Sophie Monk as love island host. Can she do both?
