A Thursday night when there’s no sport leaves schedules laid bare.
Seven slam a win off the back of their News and little else. Home & Away (460,000) pulls its average for the week, and Big Brother Australia (358,000) doesn’t do much (though lifts a little) to stem the tide of audience abandonment. Ramsay’s 24 Hours to Hell and Back (129,000) and The Front Bar (338,000 (221,000 MEL)) entertain the few who hung into the later and late night.
Seven first in both primary (19.6%) and network (27.4%) rankings.
A Current Affair (572,000) is Nine’s best again by a long way, though RBT (368,000) appears to be somewhat competitive with the reality offerings of its rivals. A repeat of MOVIE: London Has Fallen (245,000) and a new ep of The Equalizer (58,000) offer little hope when there’s no NRL on.
Nine second in both primary (17.5%) and network (25.2%) rankings.
10 struggling for the first Thursday in a while as the audience for The Project (231,000 6:30pm; 351,000 7pm) only gets smaller, and MasterChef Australia (505,000) doesn’t have Gogglebox Australia to prop it up (plus it has some competition). New and repeat Law & Order: SVU (242,000; 157,000) plus new Blue Bloods (99,000) round out the evening.
10 third in both primary (12.5%) and network (19.4%) rankings.
7:30 (489,000) kicks off the night as the ABC’s best, followed by Foreign Correspondent (385,000) with normal numbers. Q+A (282,000) continues to flail on Thursday nights with little interest, as repeats of Kurt Fearnley’s One Plus One (141,000) and The Family Court Murders (47,000) fill out the later and late night.
ABC fourth in both primary (11.7%) and network (17.3%) rankings.
A reasonable night for SBS, with World’s Most Scenic River Journeys (213,000), The Real Peaky Blinders (175,000), and Holding (133,000).
SBS fifth in both primary (6%) and network (10.7%) rankings.
