Two blockbuster match-ups with a strong taste of vengeance will take the spotlight this week in Round 9 of NRL on Nine, shown LIVE and FREE on Channel 9HD and 9Now.
First up, Rabbitohs favourite son-turned-Broncos recruit, Adam Reynolds, faces off with his former club for the first time in an unmissable edition of Hisense Thursday Night Footy from 7.30pm tonight.
In what will be a difficult night for proud fans of the cardinal and myrtle, their 2014 premiership-winning halfback and homegrown junior will be plotting the downfall of the Rabbitohs in the maroon and gold of the Broncos.
Then on Macca’s Friday Night Football, saddle up for the battle of Sydney’s Wild West when the Panthers host the Eels at the home of the undefeated defending champions in Penrith.
If any extra motivation was needed in this bitter local derby, the Eels won’t be lacking as they aim for revenge on the Panthers who controversially bundled them out of the 2021 finals by two points and prove they are still a 2022 premiership threat.
Coming off a shock loss to the Broncos, the Sharks will be the ones waging war against the Warriors on Chemist Warehouse Sunday Footy, with the Shark Park alarms in Cronulla drawing attention to the constant attacking threats of Shaun Johnson and Reece Walsh.
