After a thrilling season, the NBL Grand Final opponents have been locked in, with the Sydney Kings looking to stop the fairytale run of the Tasmania JackJumpers in their inaugural season.

The 2022 NBL season will meet a thrilling conclusion as the Sydney Kings and Tasmania JackJumpers face off for the NBL championship in the NBL Grand Final series, that begins Friday, live on ESPN.

The Kings hope to claim their first championship since 2005, while the JackJumpers are hoping to continue a stunning run of form to clinch the NBL crown in their first season in the competition.

Game one of the NBL Grand Final between Sydney Kings and the Tasmania JackJumpers is live on ESPN this Friday May 6 at 7.30pm AEST.

Game Two will then revert to Tasmania, where the JackJumpers have home court advantage on Sunday May 8 at 2.30pm AEST.

The 2022 NBL season has been one of the most spectacular on record.

The NBL Grand Final Series sees #3 seed the Sydney Kings meet the #4 seed Tasmania JackJumpers.

Tasmania are the story of the season, and the JackJumpers can write history by claiming the NBL championship in their inaugural campaign.

The JackJumpers only reached the NBL Finals in the dying seconds of the regular season, after the Perth Wildcats were defeated by the South East Melbourne Phoenix in overtime.

Now they have a chance to complete a remarkable run, and having eliminated defending champion Melbourne United, lift silverware for the first time.

The Sydney Kings are no strangers to the NBL championship and booked their place in the 2022 decider after downing the #2 seed Illawarra Hawks in two-games.

They will be looking to break a 17-year championship drought for the franchise.

No team had ever come back to win a NBL finals game after trailing by more than 10 at half-time, but Sydney defied those odds against the Hawks on Sunday in Semi Final Game Two.

Sydney were last in the title decider back in 2019-20, where they fell to the Perth Wildcats 2-1 in the Grand Final.

NBL MVP Jaylen Adams has been the difference for the Kings this campaign and will look to spearhead their charge to the title.
