The first ‘normal’ Wednesday in a while delivers some surprisingly abnormal results.

Home & Away (481,000) delivers its now permanent second place again for Seven while The Voice Australia (683,000) slips again to a new second-lowest draw yet still offers a win in primetime. It all goes south as Britain’s Got Talent (333,000) slides into second in the slot and Outrageous Weddings (71,000) follows the trend, with few viewers interested.
Seven first in both primary (22.5%) and network (29.8%) rankings.

Nine depending on A Current Affair (666,000) a little too much again, as it delivers the win at 7pm while Travel Guides (613,000) comes close to competing with Seven’s reality singing show, landing almost as close as last night – second in primetime and only just less than Lego Masters. The burning off of The Thing About Pam (270,000; 222,000) continues with another double ep block. The evening then split around the late news and your location, offering either Footy Classified (76,000 MEL/ADL/PER) or minuscule numbers for Damian Lewis: Spy Wars (36,000 BNE/SYD) at a slightly later time.
Nine second in both primary (19.6%) and network (27.9%) rankings.

Another solid bump for the ABC with the 7:30 (477,000)/Hard Quiz (533,000) double drawing in a solid third place in primetime. The Weekly With Charlie Pickering (460,000) premieres to reasonable numbers, unfortunately down by over 100k on last year’s start, as Tomorrow Tonight (329,000) continues to do OK-but-not-great numbers. QI (213,000) and a repeat of Would I Lie To You? (141,000) deliver options to the late night audience.
ABC third in primary (12.7%) and fourth in network (16.5%) rankings.

The Project (248,000 6:30pm; 407,000 7pm) continues its mediocre mid-week run, however at least MasterChef Australia (443,000) should be considered a high point, even if it did come fourth (again!) in primetime. MasterChef Australia – MasterClass 1 (369,000) doesn’t draw anywhere near enough eyeballs, and pushing First Dates Australia (193,000)
into a 9:30pm slot was only ever going to be ratings death for the show. This Is Us (63,000) delivers late-night fan service.
10 fourth in primary (12.3%) and third in network (18.2%) rankings.

Wednesday for SBS delivers Tony Robinson’s Coast to Coast (123,000), MH370: The Lost Flight (136,000), and a repeat of Michael Mosley: The Truth About Sleep (100,000)
SBS fifth in both primary (4.5%) and network (7.5%) rankings.
