Sunrise announces senior leadership appointments

The Seven Network’s Director of Morning Television, Sarah Stinson, today announced key new senior Sunrise appointments as part of a restructure of morning television operations.

Jasmine Kostas takes on the newly created role of Managing Editor of Sunrise. Previously Supervising Producer, Jasmine has a successful track record in driving strong ratings and commercial outcomes across Sunrise and major broadcast events including the Fire Fight Australia telecast, where she held the role of Supervising Producer.Before joining Seven, she held roles with Today and Weekend Today as Supervising Producer and was the founding producer of the Gold Week Telethon.

Glen Caro joins Sunrise from Network 10 in the newly created role of Chief of Staff. With more than 25 years’ industry experience, Glen brings to Seven a wealth of knowledge across all aspects of television production and management working for some of the world’s largest media and entertainment companies including CBS News and the National Football League.

Mark Whitmore-Beirne, previously Head of Entertainment for Sunrise, takes on an expanded role as Entertainment Editor – Sunrise and Network News and Public Affairs. Mark has been with Seven for more than a decade, and in 2021 was appointed Network Executive Producer of Woolworths Carols in the Domain.

Commenting on the new appointments, Director of Morning Television, Sarah Stinson, said:

Sunrise has remained Australia’s #1 breakfast program nationally for 18 years, with a significant lead over its rivals. Sunrise won its timeslot every week in the capital cities and nationally across 2021 and so far in 2022.
