One of Australia’s favourite comedians, Paul Hogan is set to be roasted in a new television special coming soon to Channel 7
The Roast Of Paul Hogan was filmed last week in front of a packed audience at Melbourne’s Crown Casino.
Close friend and former co-star Shane Jacobson produced and hosted the special, which featured ten comedians and performers paying homage to the national treasure in a way only Aussies know how – firing insults at each other.
TV Blackbox understands celebrity roasters appearing on the special includes; John Paul Young, John Blackman, Steve Vizard, Stephen Curry, Dave Lawson, Hung Le and Troy Kinne.
Channel 7 is leaning increasingly on the nostalgia card. After recently completing a second season of Dancing With The Stars All Stars, the network now has more Hey Hey specials on the way and has recently confirmed Melissa Doyle as the host for a revival of This Is Your Life.
