As the AFLW reaches the finals, the AFL prepare for a show-stopping Round 3.

In a league first, football fans will witness AFL Women’s on the biggest stage this weekend.

Seven’s own Daisy Pearce leads Melbourne onto the MCG turf to take on the Brisbane Lions in a Preliminary Final, this Saturday at 12.30pm on Seven and 7plus.

After a historic Round Two, football’s #1 commentary team will return to football grounds across the nation to deliver seven games live and free on Seven, kicking off with Thursday Night Footy at Marvel Stadium from 7.00pm AEDT, featuring the man of the moment, Lance ‘Buddy’ Franklin.

Friday Night Footy heads to the MCG to see the reigning premiers battle Essendon, as the Bombers attempt to get their first win of the 2022 AFL Premiership Season.

Fans can also enjoy back-to-back footy this Saturday and Sunday, with the two AFLW Preliminary Finals leading the charge, before Collingwood take on Geelong at the MCG, live on Seven and 7mate from 6.30pm AEDT.

Then, St Kilda and Richmond battle in the annual Maddie’s Match at Marvel Stadium at 3.00pm on Sunday afternoon, straight after Seven’s VFL coverage.

The AFL Round Three and AFLW Finals matches broadcast on Seven this week are:

  1. Western Bulldogs v Sydney Swans, Marvel Stadium – 7.00pm AEDT Thursday
  2. Melbourne v Essendon, SCG – 7.00pm AEDT Friday
  3. AFLW Preliminary Final: Melbourne v Brisbane Lions – 12.00pm AEDT Saturday
  4. AFLW Preliminary Final: Adelaide Crows v Fremantle – 2.30pm AEDT Saturday
  5. Collingwood v Geelong Cats, MCG – 6.30pm AEDT Saturday
  6. VFL Sandringham v Richmond – 12.00pm AEDT Sunday (Victoria only)
  7. St Kilda v Richmond – 3.00pm AEDT Sunday on Channel 7

Fans in NSW, Queensland, South Australia and Western Australia can also watch Round
Three matches involving teams from their home states live and free on Channel 7, including Friday night’s showdown between Adelaide and Port Adelaide from 7.00pm ACDT.

Ahead of Round Three, The Front Bar is back again on Thursday night straight after the
footy, with a guest appearance from Western Bulldogs premiership hero Liam Picken.

Georgie Parker, Heath Shaw and Dale Thomas are live and free on 7plus on Sunday night at 6.00pm AEDT straight after the game for the second week of The Sunday Session.
Nothing is off limits when Heater, Daisy and Georgie give their take on a monster round of
football every week after Sunday Afternoon Football on Seven.

Following Friday night’s match, Adam Cooney, Parker and Cam Luke will once
again settle in on the sofa, offering viewers their unique take on the Dees v Dons clash as
Armchair Experts returns to Seven and 7plus.
