The Gordon Ramsay format is now casting for a local edition.
Cooking is back in favour at Channel 7 with a casting announcement revealing Kitchen Nightmares is in pre-production. The announcement comes off the back of a remake of the once-popular My Kitchen Rules.
The local version is not expected to have Gordon Ramsay fronting it, despite him being the face of the series in the UK and USA.
Producers are currently looking for restaurants that need help on condition they have been open 1 year and offer dinner service.
Kitchen Nightmares UK ran for 5 seasons between 2004 and 2007 and was revived in 2014 for one season of 4 episodes.
The US version ran from 2007 to 2014 on Fox. Ramsay stayed with Fox and did Hell’s Kitchen and 24 Hours to Hell and Back.
Currently the firey chef stars in MasterChef, Hell’s Kitchen and also hosts Next Level Chef.
