Marking Australia Day, iwonder begins a scheduled release of six films and series, each with a story about a different side of Australia.

Getting the week-long run of new releases underway, new from Australia Day comes ‘FLATS’ and the story of passion, persistence, adventure and heartache played out against the backdrop of the most beautiful and rugged landscapes of Lake Gardiner in South Australia.

Two new films from January 27th include ‘Heart of the Sea’, in which, haunted by an abusive childhood and determined to find his peace, Damien Rider sets out on a gruelling 800km solo paddle from his home in Coolangatta to Bondi Beach, enduring everything from shark encounters to dangerous rips.

Then in the follow up film ‘Rise Above’, Damien’s latest endurance challenge to raise awareness in childhood abuse, reveals more about this special Australian, and his mission to rise above his own challenges and traumas.

Then from February 1st, the eight part series ‘The Eco Show’ focuses on Australia’s unique, yet vulnerable environments, exploring what people can do to sustain and support the precious natural world. With climate change and human intervention having a huge impact on Australia’s diverse ecology, The Eco Show explores the many efforts that are underway to help combat these threats.

Rounding off iwonder’s Australia Day releases, from February 3rd comes ‘The Beer Pioneer’, a seven-episode, hop-filled journey of exploration through Australia’s bush fronted by comedian Matt Stewart, featuring a collection of calamities, misadventures, and of course, plenty of watering holes.
