Ever dreamed of competing on a Eurovision stage? Here’s your chance! 

TikTok Wildcard contest closes Sunday, 16 January at 11:59pm AEST

Think you’ve got what it takes to represent Australia at the Eurovision Song Contest? SBS, Blink TV and TikTok are looking for an 11th artist to take part in Eurovision – Australia Decideson the Gold Coast in February.

Australians over 16 years of age can be in the running to become the TikTok Wildcard Artist to compete in Eurovision – Australia Decides. Just post a vocal performance clip with the hashtag #EurovisionAustralia on TikTok. What entrants sing and how they perform it is up to them! A panel of industry experts will then determine the winner, who will go on to round out a total line-up of 11 incredible artists on the Gold Coast – all chasing their dreams to represent Australia at Eurovision 2022 in Turin, Italy.  

There are no restrictions on the number of videos artists can submit. Entrants can submit a video as individuals or as a group with up to six members in total.  

The TikTok Wildcard contest closes Sunday, 16 January at 11:59pm AEST.

How do I make sure my entry complies with the rules?  

To participate in the Competition, entrants must: 

  • produce a video of up to 1 minute of a live vocal performance which meets the Video Requirements; and 
  • post the Video on their TikTok account within the Competition Period and include the hashtag #EurovisionAustralia within the caption of the post; and 
  • ensure that the privacy settings of the Video are set to “public” and is publicly accessible; and 
  • ensure that the Video posted complies with TikTok’s Community Guidelines, TikTok’s Terms of Service and the Video Requirements

Eurovision – Australia Decides returns in February, giving Australians the chance to vote for the artist and song to represent the country at the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 in Italy.

The winner will be revealed during the Live TV Final which will be broadcast exclusively on SBS and SBS On Demand on Saturday 26 February.  

The current competing artists include Paulini, Jaguar Jonze, Isaiah Firebrace, Sheldon Riley, G-Nat!on, Andrew Lambrou, Charley, Voyager, Seann Miley Moore, and Jude York.
