RATINGS | Day four of the Pink Test delivers more massive viewing numbers for Seven, Foxtel and Kayo

A second stirring century from Usman Khawaja on Day 4 put Australia in the box seat to secure the Fourth Test at the SCG.

The Seven Network recorded an average free-to-air audience of 1.3 million viewers nationally for Saturday afternoon’s third session.

Data obtained exclusively by TV Blackbox reveals the FOX Cricket commercial-free coverage from the SCG also deliver massive viewing numbers.

The Foxtel Group achieved a national average audience peak of 611K across Foxtel and Kayo in the final session of play on Day 3.

Across the full day of play, the FOX Cricket coverage averaged 418K across the platforms of Foxtel and Kayo. The strong audience figure means the first 4 days of the 4th Test have averaged 415K across Foxtel and Kayo; up +9% vs the entire Sydney Test last year.

Earlier in the day, the second session had 1.02 million free-to-air viewers nationally for Channel 7, while the first session recorded 799,000 viewers nationally. All sessions dominated their timeslots, ranking #1 in 25 to 54s, 16 to 39s and total people. Seven had five of the top six programs nationally, four of which were Ashes sessions.

In the capital cities, Seven recorded a commercial audience share of 67.4% in total people and 67.2% in 25 to 54s across the day.
