RATINGS | Day three of the Pink Test delivers massive viewing numbers for Seven, Foxtel and Kayo

Warriors Jonny Bairstow and Ben Stokes led a defiant English batting counterattack to take the tourists to 7/258 at stumps on day three at the SCG on Friday evening.

On a day that also belonged to Aussie cult hero Scott Boland who sent the crowd wild with 2/0 from his first five overs, Seven recorded an average free-to-air audience of 1.2 million viewers nationally for the third session.

Data obtained by TV Blackbox reveals the FOX Cricket commercial-free coverage from the SCG also deliver massive viewing numbers.

The Foxtel Group achieved a national average audience peak of 549K across Foxtel and Kayo in the final session of play.

Across the full day of play, the FOX Cricket coverage averaged 453K across the platforms of Foxtel and Kayo, making it the highest rating day of the 4th Test so far.

The second session had 1.03 million free-to-air viewers nationally for Channel 7, while the first session recorded 808,000 free-to-air viewers nationally. All sessions dominated their timeslots, ranking #1 in 25 to 54s, 16 to 39s and total people.

In the capital cities, Seven recorded a commercial audience share of 59.4% in total people and 62.9% in 25 to 54s across the day.
