After the highly anticipated season three finale aired yesterday, Succession pulled in five nominations overall for the 79th Annual Golden Globes.
Nominations for the 79th Annual Golden Globe Awards, celebrating the best in television and film have been revealed with Foxtel becoming the home of the most nominated series and films than any other subscription television platform in Australia, thanks to the integration of Netflix and SBS On Demand apps on FOXTEL set top boxes, all in the one place.
Hit drama series Succession led the pack with five mega nominations including best drama television series following its highly anticipated and gripping final episode of season three.
While Jeremy Strong and Brian Cox were both nominated for best performance by an actor in a television drama series and Kieran Culkin nominated for best performing actor. Australia’s very own, Sarah Snook was also nominated for best supporting actress in a television drama for her stellar performance.
Hugely popular cult series set from the tropical shores of Hawaii, The White Lotus, scored a nomination for Jennifer Coolidge as best supporting television actress while Oscar Isaac was nominated for best performance in a limited series for his powerful and poignant lead role in Scenes From a Marriage.
Also nominated in the same category, Kate Winslet for her captivating performance in Mare of Easttown. The addictive murder mystery also nabbed a nomination for best limited series.
Other highlights for FOXTEL’s Golden Globes nominated series include:
- IN TREATMENT: Intense therapy drama scored a nomination for Uzo Aduba for best performance by an actress in a television series drama
- POSE: Scored three nominations including best television series drama and nominations for both Billy Porter and Michaela Jaé Rodriguez for best performing actor and actress in a television series drama.
- INSECURE: Creator and star of romantic comedy, Issa Rae is nominated for best actress in a TV series, musical or comedy
- RESERVATION DOGS: Taika Waititi’s comedy drama, Reservation Dogs is nominated for best television series, musical or comedy
