Despite departing the network in June of this year, Manu Feildel is returning and stepping back into the co-host and judge role that made him a household name.

The Seven Network is bubbling over with excitement to announce Manu Feildel will helm the return of a brand new My Kitchen Rules, coming to Channel 7 and 7plus in 2022.

Feildel will be joined at the head of the table by one of the world’s biggest food stars as they judge a new batch of passionate home cooks.

It’s state versus state as the beloved competition goes back to its original recipe – real people cooking real food, in their own homes, serving love on a plate to the judges and their fellow contestants.

If you’re an aspiring home cook and think you’ve got what it takes to deliver a three-course menu impressive enough to take the title of My Kitchen Rules champion, apply now at www.MyKitchenRulesCasting.com.au.

The new season of My Kitchen Rules is produced by ITV Studios Australia for the Seven Network and premieres in 2022 on Channel 7 and 7plus.

Seven’s Director of Network Programming, Angus Ross, said:

“Whichever way you dice it, My Kitchen Rules is Australia’s favourite cooking show, adored by millions. We can’t wait to serve the nation more of what they love: real food, real people, cooking from the heart and of course, more Manu!”

My Kitchen Rules judge Manu Feildel said:

“I’m very excited to return to the head of the table and share my passion for food with you all. I can’t wait to be back in Australian homes again, meeting more incredible home cooks and sharing their food dreams. Bring on 2022!”

ITV Studios Australia CEO, David Mott, said:

“It’s an absolute privilege that Seven have entrusted ITV Studios Australia in returning this much loved Australian favourite. It will be the show everyone fell in love with, along with a few new surprises. We cannot wait to get cracking on the casting to find out who will be crowned the winners of My Kitchen Rules 2022.”

In June of 2021, Feildel revealed his television contract with Seven was set to expire that month, and he would thus depart the network.

But with the return of a revamped My Kitchen Rules for 2022, it’s no surprise Feildel is back at the helm of the once unstoppable program.

After co-hosting and judging the series for 11 seasons with Pete Evans until 2020, Feildel went on to co-host the one-season stint Plate of Origin with former MasterChef co-hosts and judges Gary Mehigan and Matt Preston.

Staying on Australian screens outside of cooking throughout his tenure at Seven, Feildel also appeared as a judge on Australia’s Got Talent, winner and All-Star on Dancing with the Stars, and most recently, recruit on SAS Australia.

Seven is still yet to announce who the other co-host and judge named as ‘one of the world’s biggest food stars’ will be.

Hope they take it back to its original format for home cooks.
Every series that has been ‘update’ has lessened the value and ‘watchability’
