The show’s 33rd season will first screen for Disney+ subscribers instead of airing on 7flix.
Starting with a monumental 33rd season for The Simpsons, brand new episodes of the program will now debut on Disney+ instead of 7flix.
Seven have confirmed the news that Disney+ had acquired exclusive rights to new episodes with TV Blackbox.
The network still retains rerun rights of older episodes.
In 2018, Seven acquired the rights to new The Simpsons episodes from 10, who had held the exclusive rights for over two decades.
The comedy series was then screened on Seven’s multi-channel 7mate, before just recently moving over to 7flix.
Disney+ begins screening the 33rd season of The Simpsons this Wednesday, December 1.
The season kicks off with an all-new Broadway-style musical extravaganza, followed up by a Treehouse of Horror with five terrifying tales — then topped off by an hour-long crime saga which finds Flanders hunted down by a killer from the world of prestige streaming drama. Maggie joins the mob, Bart saves a goat from satanists, and Homer and Marge are more naked and afraid than you’ve ever seen them.
