OUTBACK TRUCKERS wins Most Popular Factual Program at the TV BLACKBOX AWARDS


First airing in 2012, the 7mate show was backed by an army of supporters, sensationally winning at the TV Blackbox Awards this year.

Outback Truckers has won the Most Popular Factual Program award at the TV Blackbox Awards.

The Morning Show host Larry Emdur announced the winner during the live stream of the awards on TV Blackbox.

The full list of nominees in the Most Popular Factual Program category were:

  • Old People’s Home for Four Year Olds (ABC)
  • Anh’s Brush With Fame (ABC)
  • You Can’t Ask That (ABC)
  • Outback Truckers (7mate)
  • Australian Story (ABC)

Looking at Australia’s road-transport industry, Outback Truckers focuses on selected drivers and shows the problems they overcome each day. The show now chalks up a win at the TV Blackbox Awards after a fierce social media campaign.
