In Sunday nights episode of The Block, the twins give up and get a roasting from the judges. Are these the worst Block rooms every presented?

It’s almost 8am on a Saturday morning and the twins Josh and Luke are still asleep. They have given up; they won’t finish any of their rooms. The venetian plaster feature in their living room is a particular worry. It looks hideous, and Luke isn’t happy.

Various Ford Mustangs rock up to Bronte Court to go in the garages, including a vintage one from Tanya and Vito’s builder Andrew that looks amazing in House No.4.

Everyone limps to the finish line and most of the couples finish, but Josh and Luke are in a world of pain.

Scotty calls ‘tools down,’ and it’s judging time on The Block.

Ronnie and Georgia: The Graffito wallpaper looks amazing in their garage. The floor was a bit of a mess but it is just a garage. The judges thought the powder room in the garage was a great edition. Stepping into the fourth bedroom/study, they loved it. This space will add enormous value to House No.1 They absolutely loved the spiral staircase that connects the basement, the middle level, and the mezzanine. The basement itself was beautifully designed.

Mitch and Mark: The judges walked into a pink mural on the garage door and while they weren’t sure about it, it made an impact. They also loved the upstairs work from home space.  Heading down to the basement and things went pear-shaped for Mitch and Mark. The judges thought the sofa, the wine fridge, the storage cabinets, nothing matched. It felt uncomfortable and odd. Neale called it a ‘panic room,’ something that certainly made no sense. The judges really gave it to Mitch and Mark, again. They aren’t happy.

Tanya and Vito:  While the garage was lovely, the big issue the judges had this week was the fact Tanya and Vito didn’t include a fourth bedroom in their garage. They think it will be a huge mistake come auction day.  The games room basement was a fun addition to House No.3.

Josh and Luke: Appalling. It’s like the twins had no respect and Shaynna, Neale and Darren are furious. The beautiful Christian Cole table in the living room had stuff all over it. They barely finished anything. Their fourth bedroom/study looked like a doctor’s surgery waiting room. The ensuite bathroom was unusable. One of the worst spaces they have ever seen on The Block.  The basement is awful.  Not a good week for the boys.

Kirsty and Jesse: The garage was very practical. The study upstairs was good, but it was obvious they had budget issues. The fact they have a fourth bedroom and a study, will be a huge benefit come auction week. The judges absolutely loved the Gaggenau fridges in the basement. So glamorous. Shaynna thought there should have been a sink in the basement area, but this was a budget decision.  Overall, another wonderful week for Kirsty and Jesse.

The scores are in, Ronnie and Georgia take out their fifth win. Josh and Luke score one of the lowest scores – an eight and they are not happy.

The Block airs Sunday to Wednesday on Channel 9 and 9Now
