First and second aren’t the important story here; what’s happening (or, rather, isn’t happening) on 10 is all sorts of cray.
A Current Affair (685,000) continues to be way off its usual 800k pace for Nine. Maybe it’ll kick back up next week? RBT (435,000) drops in to land a solid second in primetime, followed by Paramedics (408,000) which slid, though second in the later night. Love Island Australia (168,000) and Love Island Australia Afterparty (67,000) consistent with the overnights all week – as predicted, the real story is in the Total TV figures and BVOD from last week.
Nine first in both primary (18.3%) and network (28.2%) rankings.
Seven’s Thursdays lean hard on Home and Away (541,000 7pm; 523,000 7:30pm-8:30pm late), which continues to help them to win primetime (though all figures are underwhelming). America’s Got Talent (234,000) fills out the rest of the schedule.
Seven second in both primary (17.8%) and network (26.7%) rankings.
Poor 10! The first half of their night, including primetime, is in the ratings toilet!
The Project (241,000 6:30pm; 394,000 7pm) continues to struggle, and The Bachelorette Australia (345,000) sinks even lower than last night’s premiere. These are just above the same numbers that 10 used to justify dumping Making It Australia to the “all-new” time of Saturday 6pm. Gogglebox Australia (596,000) continues to be a high point (even up on last week), however the poor lead-in did nothing to help it. A repeat of The Cheap Seats (204,000) and a new ep of Blue Bloods (80,000) trail off into the late night.
10 third in both primary (13.7%) and network (20.4%) rankings.
7:30 (515,000) and a repeat of Foreign Correspondent (353,000) don’t light any fires, though still land third in primetime. Q+A (265,000) continues its very low average, sliding a little further with this week’s ep. Secrets of the Museum (156,000) and a repeat of You Can’t Ask That (98,000) complete the night.
ABC fourth in both primary (11.1%) and network (15.5%) rankings.
Thursday on SBS rolled out with Devon & Cornwall with Michael Portillo (253,000), Billion Pound Bond Street (127,000), and the final episode of New Gold Mountain (97,000).
SBS fifth in both primary (5.2%) and network (9.1%) rankings.
