Fans are being treated to a huge Summer of Cricket on Foxtel and Kayo with a whopping 1300 hours of dedicated live match coverage across the best of men’s and women’s domestic and international cricket.
The KFC BBL (213.5 hours) and Weber WBBL (207 hours) will clock up the most airtime followed by the highly anticipated upcoming Vodafone Ashes Series (175 hours) with every ball of every test shown live, ad-break free and in 4K Ultra HD only on Foxtel.
It will be the first time every match of the Weber WBBL – 59 in total – will be televised with 24 games to be simulcast and a further 35 games to be produced by Cricket Australia with Fox Cricket providing expert analysis and commentary in a huge boost for the women’s game in Australia.
Coverage of the WBBL has grown significantly since inception where just 10 matches were broadcast in the tournament’s inaugural 2015/16 season.
The WBBL begins this week, but it won’t be the only short-form action with the ICC T20 World Cup (157.5 hours) to be televised exclusively on Foxtel later this month along with a dedicated World Cup Show every night at 8pm AEDT throughout the tournament.
Throughout the summer fans can also watch Australia play short-form series against New Zealand and Sri Lanka, along with having access to a host of international cricket from India, South Africa, and Europe.
General Manager of Fox Cricket, Matt Weiss, said:
“Obviously the pinnacle is the upcoming Ashes Series against the old rival England – it really will be must-watch television – with no ad breaks and cricket’s leading coverage.”
“With the best experts in the game and the addition of 4K UHD for every Ashes Test and selected additional matches it’s an exciting time to be watching Fox Cricket for our biggest summer ever.”
“Cricket in Australia lives on Foxtel – we love it.”
Hours of live games are calculated based on maximum match times across Fox Cricket’s 2021/22 summer of cricket programming schedule.
