NFL action on ESPN gets even bigger in Week Five, with seven live games, five of which will be broadcast back to back in a mega Monday marathon, including an NFL trip to London.
ESPN’s Week Five coverage begins on Friday October 8 at 11.15am AEDT when the Los Angeles Rams face the Seattle Seahawks.
Â
After a flying start to the 2021 season, the Los Angeles Rams were brought back to earth following a 37-20 defeat to the undefeated Arizona Cardinals.
Â
The Rams now contend with another NFC West rival in the Seahawks, but will be favored to get back to winning ways.Â
Â
Monday October 11 will see a massive five live games back to back across ESPN, ESPN2 and the ESPN App*.
Â
The NFL goes overseas with the NFL International Series from London, where the New York Jets collide with the Atlanta Falcons at 12.30am AEDT, live on ESPN.
Â
New York registered its first win of the season, courtesy of a thrilling overtime victory against the Titans.
Â
The Jets be looking to make it back to back at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, against a Falcons side that have their own struggles, sitting 1-3 so far.Â
Â
Fresh from an emotional homecoming to New England, Tom Brady leads the Buccaneers into battle closer to home, as Tampa Bay meet the Miami Dolphins at 4am AEDT live on ESPN.
Â
Injury continues to impact the Buccs, but they found a way to see off the Patriots in Week Four.
Â
Florida foes the Dolphins sit 1-3 so far, and will be massive underdogs against the defending Super Bowl champions.
Â
In the other 4am AEDT kickoff, live on ESPN2 and the ESPN App*, the Philadelphia Eagles take on the Carolina Panthers.
Â
Both the Eagles and Panthers were outgunned by superior offence in Week Four, going down to the Chiefs and Cowboys respectively.
Â
It was Carolina’s only defeat so far in 2021, and the Panthers will be expected to write the wrong on home turf in Charlotte.
Â
At 7.25am AEDT it is the New York Giants showdown with the Dallas Cowboys, live on ESPN.
Â
Dak Prescott has fired Dallas to back-to-back wins and has the Cowboys looking sharp as they return to Arlington ready for New York.
Â
The Giants saw off the New Orleans Saints in overtime in Week Four for the first win of the season, but upsetting a slick Cowboys offence at home, will be a much harder task.
Â
Monday’s NFL marathon concludes at 11.15am AEDT when the Kansas City Chiefs meet the Buffalo Bills.
Â
The Chiefs are yet to find top gear in 2021, sitting 2-2 after Week Four. The Bills certainly found their groove last round demolishing the Texans 40-0.
Â
If they bring similar form into Week Five, it could prove a defining point in the Chiefs season, even at this early stage.
Â
ESPN’s Week Five schedule is topped off on Tuesday October 12 at 11.15am AEDT as the Indianapolis Colts face the Baltimore Ravens.
Â
Both winners in Week Five, but the Ravens will start favourites after a slick win over Denver.
Â
The Colts will hope the good times continue after notching their first victory of the season, in what has been a shaky opening to the new campaign.
