The homecoming of Tom Brady to New England and his highly anticipated first ever clash with Patriots rookie Mac Jones leads a massive Week Four of live NFL, as the Buccaneers-Patriots battle highlights a stacked schedule on ESPN.
Week Four NFL on ESPN begins on Friday October 1 as the Jacksonville Jaguars take on the Cincinnati Bengals, live on ESPN at 10.15am AEST.
Â
The Jags are yet to taste victory this season, sitting 0-3 so far.
Â
Rookie QB Trevor Lawrence is still growing into life in the National Football League and Jacksonville will start outsiders to the Bengals, who surprisingly sit atop the AFC North, courtesy of a 2-1 start.Â
Â
Those fortunate to enjoy a public holiday on Monday October 4 can partake in an absolute feast of NFL live on ESPN.
Â
ESPN will have four live games across the day, headlined by the highly anticipated Buccaneers-Patriots showdown.
Â
Before that though, the action begins at 4am AEDT as the Philadelphia Eagles meet the Kansas City Chiefs on ESPN.
Â
Both sides are yet to find their consistency this season, and are coming off loses in Week Three.
Â
The Chiefs fell 30-24 to the Los Angeles Chargers, whilst Philadelphia’s defensive weakness was highlighted by a slick Dallas Cowboys outfit, who prevailed 41-21.
Â
The other 4am AEDT game is on ESPN2 and ESPN App, where Cleveland Browns tackle the Minnesota Vikings.
Â
Cleveland got its offence to fire against the Bears, with quarterback Baker Mayfield having a day out in the 26-6 victory.
Â
The Vikings are slowly building and will prove no pushover, having notched their first win over the Seahawks last round.
Â
Â
At 7.25am AEDT the Pittsburgh Steelers collide with the Green Bay Packers, live on ESPN.
Â
The Steelers surprisingly sit bottom of their conference going into Week Four and will start as the underdogs against Green Bay.
Â
After being blown away by New Orleans in the opening round, the Packers have won back-to-back games to ease the pressure on Aaron Rodgers and his men.Â
Â
However, the game everyone is talking about in Week Four, is live at 11.15am AEDT Monday as Tampa Bay Buccaneers meet the New England Patriots.
Â
Tom Brady returns to Gillette Stadium for the first time, in front of the raucous crowd that once chanted his name.
Â
A hero in New England, Brady helped deliver six Super Bowl triumphs during his time in the Patriots’ jersey, and he did the same last season, in his first year as a Buccaneer.
Â
Brady’s homecoming will steal the headlines, as will his first ever battle with heir apparent Mac Jones, who many predict will lead the Patriots back to the heights experienced under Brady.
Â
Finally, ESPN’s Week Four coverage concludes on Tuesday October 5 at 11.15am AEDT as the Las Vegas Raiders meet the Los Angeles Chargers.
Â
The Raiders have stunned the league with their form, sitting undefeated after the opening three weeks.
Â
Two of those wins having come after overtime though, so luck has certainly been on their side.
Â
Week Four sees them run into a Chargers side, who are also a surprise packet of the early season, and riding high following a Week Three win over Kansas City.Â
