The brand new series ONE OF US IS LYING is part of the highlights this October on STAN

This October Stan presents a brand new series called One of Us is Lying, plus new season premieres of Walker, Love Life and All American.

One of Us is Lying

Based on Karen McManus’s bestselling debut novel, this is the story of what happens when five strangers walk into detention and only four walk out alive. A tense investigation ensues, with the four all having the reasons for being potential suspects… but all is not as it seems, and one of them is lying. Starring Australian actor Cooper van Grootel (Mystery Road), Marianly Tejada (The Purge), Annalisa Cochrane (Cobra Kai), Chibuikem Uche (The Tomorrow War), along with Jessica McLeod, Barrett Carnahan, Melissa Collazo and Mark McKenna, One of Us Is Lying is shaping up to be the next big mystery obsession.

October 8 – Brand New Series with special three episode premiere: Same Day as U.S.

Love Life

Season two of Love Life will remain set in New York City but will focus on a new character’s journey  with Anna Kendrick’s character Darbypassing the baton over to new protagonist, Marcus Watkins, played by the Emmy-nominated William Jackson Harper (The Good Place). Marcus is coming out of a years-long relationship with the woman he thought was going to be the one. After the rug is pulled out from under him, he is plunged back into the search for the romantic fulfilment that he thought he had already found.

October 28 – Brand New Season with special three episode premiere: Same Day as U.S.

Angela Black

A Hitchcockian thriller starring The Flight Attendant’s Michiel Huisman and The Hatton Garden Job’s Samuel Adewunmi, Angela Black sees Downton Abbey’s Joanne Froggatt take on the titular role – a woman who risks her seemingly idyllic life to fight back against her controlling, abusive husband.

All American

When a rising high school football player from South Central L.A. is recruited to play for Beverly Hills High, two families from vastly different worlds begin to collide. Based on the real life high school years of former NFL star Spencer Paysinger, All American stars Daniel Ezra,  Bre-Z, Greta Onieogou, Samantha Logan, Michael Evans Behling, Cody Christian, Karimah Westbrook, Monét Mazur, Taye Diggs and Chelsea Tavares, with the fourth season of this acclaimed series promising even more drama.

Walker

Starring in the iconic role made famous by Chuck Norris, Season 2 of Walker sees Jared Padalecki (Supernatural) continue in his role as a widower and father of two with his own moral code. With Walker finally bringing his wife’s killer to justice in the season 1 finale, a cliff-hanger ending revealed that the family is far from safe, even in the comfort of their own home. The cast also includes Keegan Allen (Pretty Little Liars), Lindsey Morgan (The 100), Coby Bell (The Gifted), Mitch Pileggi (The X-Files, Supernatural), Genevieve Padalecki (Supernatural) and Matt Barr (Blood & Treasure).

The Circus

Hitmen

Hitmen returns for a second season following two best friends trying to make their way in the world with only each other to rely on. They also just happen to kill people for a living. Having stumbled into a career in contract killing, misfits Fran and Jamie are not your typical killers for hire. Working out of their scruffy van, each episode follows the hapless duo as they try to carry out their latest hit, inevitably derailed by incompetence, bickering, and inane antics. As each hit goes south, our (anti)heroes are thrown into one bizarre misadventure after another, each full of oddball characters and unexpected dilemmas.

Sort Of

Sort Of follows the journey of Sabi Mehboob (Baig), a gender-fluid millennial who straddles various identities from sexy bartender at an LGBTQ bookstore/bar, to the youngest child in a large Pakistani family, to the de facto parent of a downtown hipster family. Sabi feels like they’re in transition in every aspect of their life, from gender to love to sexuality to family to career. A coming-of-age story, Sort Of seeks to expose the identities and labels that are no longer applicable to anyone.
