The Rugby Championship continues this Saturday with another double-header between rugby’s Southern Hemisphere powerhouses.  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌

Townsville will be the home of Round 5 action with the 100th test match between the All Blacks and Springboks (LIVE & Exclusive on Stan Sport), followed by the Wallabies v Pumas.

Next week the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League and UEFA Europa Conference League continue – with every Group Stage match ad-free, live and on-demand only on Stan Sport.

Stan has assembled a top-class commentary team to cover Paris Saint-Germain v Manchester City (Wednesday 4:35am AEST) and Juventus v Chelsea (Thursday 4:35am AEST) with Max Rushden, Craig Foster and Mark Bosnich leading the coverage.

NEW ZEALAND V SOUTH AFRICA
SATURDAY 25 SEPTEMBER
LIVE ONLY ON STAN SPORT FROM 4:30PM AEST One of world sport’s most enduring rivalries hits a historic milestone on Saturday as the All Blacks and Springboks meet for the 100th time in a Test match.

But instead of Eden Park or Ellis Park this clash will be held at Queensland Country Bank Stadium in Townsville.

Adding an extra edge to an already special occasion is the fact that world champions South Africa lost their No.1 ranking to New Zealand after their second loss to the Wallabies last weekend. The all-time ledger reads 59 wins to the All Blacks, 36 to the Springboks with four draws.

AUSTRALIA v ARGENTINA
SATURDAY 25 SEPTEMBER
LIVE ON STAN SPORT FROM 7:15PM AEST & CHANNEL 9 FROM 7:30PM AEST The resurgent Wallabies are bursting with confidence after back-to-back wins over South Africa which catapulted them to third in the world rankings.

Reece Hodge has replaced the injured Tom Banks at fullback and Australia (2-2) start warm favourites over the winless Pumas. But halfback Nic White has warned against complacency given the Wallabies drew twice with Argentina last year.
“It’s something we’ve spoken about, that two good performances doesn’t make up for a couple of years of bad ones,” White said.

SATURDAY 25 SEPTEMBER – MONDAY 27 SEPTEMBER
DAY SESSIONS: LIVE ONLY ON STAN SPORT FROM 2:30AM AEST
NIGHT SESSIONS: LIVE ONLY ON STAN SPORT FROM 9:00AM AEST Tennis legend Roger Federer is backing Team Europe to claim a fourth straight Laver Cup title against Team World in Boston this year. The Swiss maestro will miss the event with his ongoing knee troubles but felt Europe still had more than enough firepower.

“I think Team Europe will be again the favourites, and I think having Sascha Zverev as Olympic champion and Daniil Medvedev as the US Open champion on the team, it’s going to be really good for us, especially for the singles,” Federer said.
“In the singles we have a slight edge, but they have a lot of young players on Team World, so I think a lot will be possible for them.”

WEDNESDAY 29 SEPTEMBER
FEATURE MATCH – LIVE ONLY ON STAN SPORT FROM 4:35AM AEST All eyes are on Lionel Messi for this mouth-watering clash between arguably the two most star-studded clubs in world football.

Messi sat out Thursday’s 2-1 win over FC Metz after taking a knock to his knee in the previous victory over Lyon. The newly signed Argentine superstar was visibly frustrated after being substituted in that match and appeared to snub manager Mauricio Pochettino’s offer of a handshake.

Manchester City, meanwhile, have a long list of injury concerns with the fitness of Ilkay Gundogan, Rodri, Aymeric Laporte, John Stones and Oleksandr Zinchenko all in the balance.

JUVENTUS V CHELSEA
THURSDAY 30 SEPTEMBER
FEATURE MATCH – LIVE ONLY ON STAN SPORT FROM 4:35AM AEST These two glamour clubs got their Champions League campaigns off to strong starts with Juventus cruising past Malmo 3-0 and Chelsea edging Zenit 1-0.

Adding an intriguing subplot to this meeting are reports that Chelsea are interested in acquiring the services of Juventus superstar Federico Chiesa.

Chelsea, the Champions League holders, are sitting pretty at the top of the Premier League ladder with four wins and a draw from five games.

Juventus are struggling at 13th in Serie A with just one win, two draws and two losses.
