Week Three action on ESPN is highlighted by the heavyweights of the National Football League, as the Buccaneers-Rams, Packers-49ers and Cowboys-Eagles headline the schedule in blockbuster showdowns.

Another six live games, NFL RedZone and MNF with Peyton and Eli complete a packed week of NFL on ESPN.

ESPN’s Week Three NFL coverage begins on Friday September 24 at 10.15am AEST, when the Carolina Panthers meet the Houston Texans.

The Panthers will be favourites in this one, having shown their class in Week Two, following a slick 26-7 win over New Orleans. Houston opened their season with a comfortable win over the Jaguars, but again let points slip past them away in Cleveland last time out.

ESPN will have four live games in a massive Monday of live NFL.

The first of two 3am AEST kickoffs is live on ESPN as the Los Angeles Chargers meet the Kansas City Chiefs, in an all AFC West showdown.

The Chiefs have been involved in two thrillers already this season. Kansas came from the clouds to reel in the Browns in the opening week, before going down to the Ravens by a point in week two.

It has been a stuttering start to their season and they will look to find their groove against a tricky Los Angeles Chargers team, themselves 1-1 this campaign.

Also at 3am AEST over on ESPN2/ESPN App*, Pittsburgh Steelers welcome the Cincinnati Bengals.

Both have gone win-loss in the opening fortnight of the new season, but the Steelers will be favoured to bounce back from a disappointing loss to the Raiders, ensuring Heinz Field remains a fortress.

One of the blockbuster matchups in Week Three is at 6.25am AEST on Monday, where reigning Super Bowl champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers tackle the Los Angeles Rams, live on ESPN.

Tom Brady and his Tampa Bay Buccaneers have picked up exactly where they left off last season, opening with back-to-back wins.

The Rams will prove the toughest test so far for the Super Bowl champions, but after a slick 45-21 win over the Falcons, the Buccs seem to have already found their offensive groove.

Monday’s mega coverage concludes at 10.15am AEST between two of the most prestigious franchises in the NFL, Green Bay Packers and San Francisco 49ers.

Pressure is already mounting on the Packers, after a shaky start to the new year. A disappointing opening week was helped by a win over the Detroit Lions in Week Two.

Now they run into big rivals the San Francisco 49ers, who are 2-0.

Finally, Tuesday sees a NFC East showdown between the Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys at 10.15am AEST.

Always a game to circle on the schedule, and generally tight when the Eagles and Cowboys come together. Both sit 1-1 so far and victory here can give some breathing space in an already congested conference battle.

Again, MNF with Peyton and Eli will complement the Philadelphia Eagles-Dallas Cowboys blockbuster and will be available on ESPN2 from 10.15am AEST.
