AIRDATE | 50th Anniversary special of YOUNG TALENT TIME

An airdate has now been confirmed for the upcoming Young Talent Time special retrospective marking the 50th anniversary of the program.

Hosted by Toni Pearen, the 1-hour special Young Talent Time: Unmasked will premiere after The Masked Singer on Sunday the 26th of September.

Details regarding the special are limited, but the programs official Facebook page is teasing appearances by several “special guests”. The commissioning of the special comes at the same time as Channel 7 is preparing to air a 50th Anniversary special for Hey Hey It’s Saturday.

Channel 10 is promising the special will the special will “re-live all the giddy highs, the backstage drama and heartbreak, and celebrate the moments that turned its young stars into household names.”

Young Talent Time aired on the 10 Network from 1971 to 1988. The program featured a group of young performers who would sing a mixture of classic songs and latest hits.

The commissioning of the television special comes after original host and executive producer Johnny Young released a special 4-hour reunion event online earlier this year.

Young Talent Time: Unmasked premieres Sunday 26th September 8:30pm on Channel 10.
