The third instalment of the highly anticipated anthology series by Ryan Murphy, American Crime Story premieres today on BINGE and FOX ONE

The new series, Impeachment: American Crime Story is set to focus on the Bill Clinton and Monica Lewinsky political scandal and the trial that followed.

Based on Jeffrey Toobin’s book, ‘A Vast Conspiracy: The Real Story of the Sex Scandal That Nearly Brought Down a President’,  Impeachment: American Crime Story examines the national crisis that led to the first impeachment of a U.S. President in over a century through the eyes of the women at the centre of the events: Monica Lewinsky, Linda Tripp and Paula Jones.

All three were thrust into the public spotlight during a time of corrosive partisan rancour, shifting sexual politics and a changing media landscape.

Beanie Feldstein (Lady Bird, What We Do in the Shadows, Bad Neighbors 2) stars as Monica Lewinsky, Clive Owen (Closer, The Knick) as Bill Clinton, Edie Falco (The Sopranos, Nurse Jackie)as Hillary Clinton, Sarah Paulson (Mrs. America, Ratched) as civil servant  Linda Tripp, Annaleigh Ashford (Bad Education, B Positive) as civil servant Paula Jones,and Cobie Smulders (How I Met Your Mother, The Avengers) as journalist  Ann Coulter. 

The 10-part series will drop with new episodes weekly express from the U.S.

Weekly episodes will be available to stream on BINGE and Foxtel On Demand for a period of 35 days.

The series written by Sarah Burgess is produced by 20th Television and FX Productions. Lewinsky, Feldstein, Henrietta Conrad and Jemima Khan also serve as producers, with Burgess, Murphy, Paulson, Nina Jacobson, Brad Simpson, Alexis Martin Woodall, Brad Falchuk, Scott Alexander, Larry Karaszewski and Michael Uppendahl exec producing.

Impeachment: American Crime Story premieres Wednesday September 8th at 9pm on FOX ONE
