Ending THE BACHELOR AUSTRALIA now will be a mercy killing.

A Current Affair (759,000) down further on the week however still very strong in the slot…but it’s all about The Block (941,000) and the cheating scandal paying off big time for Nine. That is its best this season (and sure to climb, especially once The Voice is out of the way). Paramedics (498,000) up on last week, stronger for its lead-in’s support, and Australian Crime Stories (121,000) completes the schedule.
Nine first in both primary (23.5%) and network (31.1%) rankings.

While Home and Away (618,000) stays above 600k it’s doing great business for Seven. The same can’t be said for Nurses (401,000) which slips again on last week–and lands a disappointing fourth in the timeslot–though RFDS (472,000) ticks up slightly (it’s also really great scripted drama and worth catching up on).
The Rookie (232,000) delivers fan service only to round out the night.
Seven second in both primary (17.4%) and network (30.1%) rankings.

The ABC’s double of 7:30 (572,000) and Hard Quiz (592,000) take a serious second place in the slot, showing just how important both programs are to the national broadcaster. Question Everything (441,000) slides on last week’s numbers marginally, though the show has well found its feet now. Rosehaven (413,000) steps up on last week too – now sadly only three eps to go. Would I Lie To You? (66,000) and a repeat of Staged (100,000) finish the evening nicely.
ABC third in both primary (11.5%) and network (16%) rankings.

The Project (296,000 6:30pm; 532,000 7pm) struggling under the weight of expectation to keep 10’s primetime afloat is some hard work and it is doing it’s best, however when shows like The Bachelor Australia (447,000) continually under-perform you don’t have a lot of opportunity to succeed (Bachie was third in the timeslot). Triple repeat eps of Bull (186,000; 147,000; 92,000) serve to help nobody.
10 fourth in both primary (9.7%) and network (15.7 %) rankings.

SBS’s night start with a repeat of Tony Robinson’s World By Rail (166,000), then the final episode of What Does Australia Really Think About…? (204,000) and the third episode of season two of War Of The Worlds (68,000).
SBS fifth in both primary (4.4%) and network (7.1%) rankings.

KEY DEMOS
16-39: The Block (230,000) beat out The Bachelor Australia, The Project 7pm, and Nine News 6:30pm/6pm.
