Holly, 27, wins Jimmy’s heart. Â
Jimmy reached his final destination tonight, as he professed his love to marketing manager Holly, his chosen co-pilot in life, in the romantic finale of The Bachelor Australia.
Earlier, Jimmy had his family on hand to help him make the toughest decision of his life. After meeting both ladies, Jimmy’s Dad believed Brooke was right for his son, as there was a truth to her that made her different from anyone Jimmy had ever dated before. Jimmy’s mum, however, found Brooke’s intensity challenging. She described Holly as confident and independent and believed they were made for each other.
On Jimmy’s final date with Brooke, he took her hot air ballooning over Alice Springs. Brooke took this opportunity to tell Jimmy she had fallen in love with him. They kissed and cherished the last of their alone time together, before Jimmy had to make his big decision, one he was still unsure about.
On Jimmy’s final date with Holly, the pair cosied up in the passenger seats of a small plane which flew over Uluru. Jimmy was worried about the similarities Holly shared with people he had dated in the in the past, but she reassured him that their connection felt unique and reminded him that she had fallen deeply in love with him.
Later, Brooke met Jimmy with a glimmer of hope in her eyes. Struggling to get the words out, Jimmy finally told Brooke that their journey had come to an end, as there were too many unknowns in their relationship. Clearly heartbroken, Brooke disagreed and suggested that perhaps Jimmy wasn’t right for her as she needed someone who could take risks. She cried in his arms before finally leaving him. Jimmy too, was brought to tears knowing that he had hurt Brooke.
Holly met Jimmy in the same spot Brooke stood earlier. He spoke about their future and offered her a bespoke diamond ring that represented their journey so far, as well as what was yet to come.
Jimmy said:
“Holly, when I think of a future with you, it’s exciting, it’s fun, it’s passionate. You make anything we do incredible, and you light up any room you are in. I am in love with you and I can’t wait to see what the future has in store for both of us”
Holly was overcome with happiness that Jimmy finally told her he was in love with her. In a daze of love and happiness, Holly forgot what she had planned to say, but it didn’t matter, because love was well and truly in the air.
