Channel 9 is giving viewers a special present with some feel-good TV over the silly season
One of Nine’s biggest shows is set to surprise viewers with a Christmas special. Lego Masters has already been renewed for an additional two seasons and sources have revealed to me a Christmas-themed special is on the cards.
The special will air towards the end of year, but details on how the episode will be structured are still under wraps.
Production of the series is moving to Sydney where host Hamish Blake has relocated his family to.
Lockdowns in Melbourne had been causing issues for all TV productions and Sydney was seen as a safe alternative due to Premier Gladys Berejiklian‘s objections to lockdowns.
Things have obviously changed since then with NSW struggling to contain the delta variant, which has seen over 1,000 new cases per day recently.
Television productions do come under essential services though so as long as COVID-19 measures are put in place shooting should be able to go ahead as planned.
But as we exclusively reported earlier today, not all productions have been so lucky. Many have been delayed due to issues working around lockdowns.
Nine is not making any comments about upcoming programs, preferring to wait until their Upfronts event on 15 September to make any announcements.
TV Blackbox will have full coverage.
